Schedule a Tagging Visit
While adapting to this new way of life, we have altered our tagging processes. There has been an increase in requests for 'digital tagging', and while we are happy to oblige, it can occasionally strain our resources leading to long wait times and/or subpar images, especially with long plant lists. To help support us in these changing times, please review the following options when emailing us about this topic so that we may provide a speedier completion to your project.
Schedule a Tagging Visit: We are happy to find a time to visit us in order to find the right tree on our over 1,200 acres of nursery.
When scheduling your visit try to give us a reasonable lead time as we can be booked for a week or more in advance, please email us with a suggested date and time of visit, and a list of species you are looking for including size and quantity. Let us know if your plans change as soon as you can.
Before your visit, make sure to check our local weather and dress accordingly as we will be outdoors for most of the visit. Our farm can experience a range of conditions, including mud, so footwear is important, too.
To comply with public health standards, we will use separate vehicles and wear masks when applicable. Please bring a vehicle that can maneuver off-road conditions and prepare to walk!
Recommended for: landscape architects and contractors, general contractors, certain individuals, and other entities requiring larger lists of specific material or small number of specimen trees.
Request Pictures: We are happy to send you pictures that we have taken previously that accurately represents the requested material. While this may not be the exact tree you will receive, it will be true to species and form.
Recommended for: those needed more immediate responses and less exacting on material approval, mass plantings, naturalizing areas, or other such uses.
Request Picture Tagging: This method is requested by those that require an exact approval for the plant material that will show trees with their measurements. We will attempt to take pictures to match the quantity, but for large lists we may send enough pictures to accurately reflect size and quantity available. Considering this is a time-intensive task for which we do not apply any surcharge, we may restrict this option to entities that show cause for the specificity or meet a minimum order limit at our discretion. We will make every attempt to meet request but some may not be feasible. When requesting this option, please give us as much advance time as possible and a date you need the pictures.
Elhannon Select: We give the same care to all our trees, so we can select true-to-form plants meeting requested sizes without picture or tagging. Just let us know to pick your trees for you and we will send you top quality material.
